Our Story

How we got here

Osiris and Frank holding hands

The Beginning

We’re from Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico, and life brought us together in Texas, where he was working in Houston and I was in graduate school. From the beginning, it felt less like meeting someone new and more like recognizing someone we had always known.

Growing Together

Since January 24, 2021, we’ve built our relationship with care, intention, and a lot of weekend visits. No matter how busy life became, we always made time for each other and kept showing up.

Our Adventures

Along the way, we’ve shared so many adventures and discovered new sides of each other. He made me more outdoorsy, I made him a little more pop-cultured, and together we’ve made memories in Guatemala, Japan, Arizona, California, Canada, New York, Chicago, and Costa Rica.

The Proposal

After five years, he surprised us with a proposal in Costa Rica, overlooking the breathtaking Arenal Volcano. It was romantic, unforgettable, and the perfect beginning to our next chapter.

Getting There

Travel & Stay

Airfare

Fly into San Juan (SJU) — Luis Muñoz Marín International. Direct flights run from most major U.S. cities, and no passport is needed for U.S. citizens.

Accommodations

We're arranging a room block at the Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort — the resort is the venue, so you can stay right where the celebration is. Details to follow.

Itinerary

A full itinerary will be shared with confirmed guests — expect a welcome gathering and the celebration itself. And if you want, join us for a beach day the day after the wedding.

Getting to the island

Fly into San Juan (SJU) — the island's main airport.

Where you'll be staying

The venue is on the Isla Verde beachfront — about ten minutes from the terminal, with more hotels steps away.

Make a Trip of It

While you're on the island

You flew all this way — stay a while. A few of our favorites:

Old San Juan

Cobblestone streets, pastel facades, and El Morro at sunset. Bring your camera and comfortable shoes.

El Yunque Rainforest

The only tropical rainforest in the U.S. forest system. Waterfalls, hikes, and views for days.

Luquillo & the Kioskos

Beach all day, then eat your way down the famous row of food kiosks. Get the frituras. Trust us.

Bioluminescent Bays

Kayak through glowing water in Fajardo or Vieques. It's as magical as it sounds.

Chinchorreo

The island art of roadside food-and-drink hopping. We may or may not organize a bus for this.

Culebra & Flamenco Beach

A short ferry or puddle-jumper to one of the world's most beautiful beaches.
